1st May Thursday
Yeah! get to meet Zhuwei, Doreen and Rynn again! Finally after 1 month plus. Yi Tong and Wee Liang, who is having exchange at the same Uni as Zhuwei they all, came along as well (: I skip my G2 class so that I can spend more time them 😛
I brought them to the Bibimbap store for early dinner as they didn’t really eat on the KTX ride, while we waited for Wei Fang to end class. Then we walked the girls to around Library 2 to show them our Uni and where our dorm is, which they commented that it was really high up. So they understand why we keep saying that we don’t want to roll down the hill at night 😛
After that we walked around the streets before ending up at the Charlie Brown cafe. We sat there really long to chat and discuss our travelling plans. We also going to watch baseball match together on 5th July ^^ We went for dinner round 2 at the Ahjumma’s shop at the tents. The rest was tired and needed to check in, so they left early (:
2nd May Friday
Met Zhuwei and the rest early in the morning to go to Busan Aquarium. There was a discounted price for foreigners and foreign students. The aquarium is nice but I don’t think is very well kept, as compared to the S.E.A aquarium. It was pretty obvious that there were some dead marine life and some are dying. However there is slightly more “shows” here, like shark feeding and otter feeding (:
I bought a dolphin soft toy !!!! Lucky mummy allow 😛 I remember I used to have one but i think was too old >.< Hehe^^ happy_gurl_92
At least now I am at Haeundae beach when it is not at night, so the breeze was still okie (: but it was still cold and our har were flying everywhere so it was hard to take nice shots 😛
After lunch, we met up with Wei Fang and headed to UN memorial cemetery. They refuse to allow my dolphin to enter and told me to put it in the bag >.< They laugh at me some more 😛 haha ! In the end I passed it to them for safekeeping, as they considered it a pet and no pets were allowed. The UN memorial is really pretty yet depressing. The park is preserved very well but you will keep thinking about the lives lost during the Korean War and it had technically not ended yet. T.T
We also went to Busan Museum, which showed us the history from Joseon period to modern history. I think I do not have enough knowledge about the Joseon period and the older history, I couldn’t really appreciate the stuff in the museum >.<
We headed to Gwangalli beach in the evening for dinner (Yi Tong and Wee Liang headed back as they were feeling well to go to the beach as it was too windy). We snapped a few shots then we headed to Out Dark for dinner as we were really hungry 😛 Gwangalli is a really pretty beach, but I must admit that it is a pretty long walk to reach it. Haeundae is much easier to get to (:
The night view is really fantastic, especially the bridge. We went to a cafe to eat cakes and rest. As usual, we chat really long and stayed for more than an hour 😀
3rd May Saturday
I went to Jagalchi for the 3rd time! haha. As it was the long holiday, there were many people who travel to Busan and we had to wait for a while longer to get an empty table together. We ordered BBQ eel, grilled fish and sashimi ^^
We also went to Gamcheon Cultural Village and the bus ride was … OMG! we had to stand and it was on steep slopes >.< But this time we walked up the second path. It was very steep, worse than PNU slopes.
We went up to Lotte department mall level 13. We didn’t even need to go to Busan Tower to see the whole of Busan Tower. We can see everything here (: After that we ate nyeong myun with gogi. So delicious ~~ We joined Doreen and the rest for a bit of shopping then head back to our dorm as we need pack our stuff for Daegu trip.
4th May Sunday
We took Mugunghwa train from Busan to Daegu station. It was only 1.5 hours but we were so tired that we didn’t explore the train 😛
After we reach, the manager at the guesthouse asked if they can film us visiting at a place as there is a team doing a documentary about “Kazumi bringing you to places”. As we already made plans, so we only agreed to allow them to follow us to the Herb Museum. They just flmed us and took photos of us going around.
Oh my ~~ chicken is harmful to me ?!?!?
Beer is helpful ??!!!
Zhu wei and I ate hamburger so that we would not be hungry during the musical. It is so nice for such a cheap price (:
We went to Keimyung University’s Arts Centre to watch Phantom of the Opera’s musical. The university is very pretty. all brick red (:
We were invited to go for a BBQ party by the guesthouse, but Zhuwei and I had a musical to attend. Apparently it was very awkward as they didn’t have the food prepared for the BBQ. They suggested getting chicken and beer, and they wanted to play a game to decide who is the loser to buy the dinner. Best part the girls and Wee Liang they don’t even know where to get the food. Like what the hell!!!! As we all ate something before the dinner, because we are hungry from the train ride, those who went wanted to leave the BBQ party. But the people there kept holding onto the money and insist that they should stay for soju. The worst was that they were filming the manager, they strapped a wireless mic to her … so they were capturing the conversation! WHAT THE HELL!
5th May Monday
We went to Donghwasa temple as it was the number one place to visit in Daegu. We had to take the bus up the mountain and walk up some more to the entrance. The temple is so crowded with people, i think is because it is Buddha’s Birthday the next day. They also had Pororo & friends’ lanterns in the temple. Zhu Wei and I were busy tossing coins for good luck, especially into the bowl in the pond. That was the hardest >.<
We went back to Dongseongro Street for shopping, cafe-hopping and late night movie (:
We had delicious tarts @ DieTorte, but the tea doesn’t taste like Earl Grey at all T.T I rarely got tea around here in Korea. After that we went to MIES Container for Bacon & Potato Pan Cheese and BBQ platter. Lastly we had milk ice-cream with honeycomb! Never-ending food haha ^^ So satisfying!!
I really agree with this law a lot !!!
After our late night movie, the Amazing Spiderman 2, we headed back to the guesthouse at 3plus am. The sight that greeted us was not good at all. The managers and some guests they had were drinking at the living area. By the time we got back they were in drunk state. To visualise, the living area is right outside the 8-bed female room (that I stay in) and the mixed dorm is on the second floor. So we had drunk people, mostly guys, outside our room. We still had to go to the toilet to wash up, so we went in pairs. When we changed, we had to watch our door as the previous night we realised someone could open the door even after I heard the door was locked >.< The staff also slept in our dorm, while the male guest slept in the staff room. It made me wonder if they were fully booked…
What was worse was that the next day, they started filming with another guest and they didn’t inform us beforehand. They just started filming, when I was sleeping. Our door was open and my bed is facing the door, so if my blanket accidentally slip off they can capture what’s under the blanket. I was so pissed out T.T
6th May Tuesday
We went to Seomun market in the morning before our train trip back to Busan. We covered half of the market, I think 😛 However we realise that the clothes there was not cheap, so shopping was done. We just ate street food and we found the snack stall (that closed down at PNU). I bought a bag of snacks and got the rest of the girls to buy too (:
